The map shows old roads, new roads constructed by the Provincial Administration (of which 55 miles were completed at the time of mapping), and roads for future extension within the Cape Peninsula. Also indicated are dams, vleis and other water sources, valleys, hills, bays, places along the peninsula coastline and geographical features inland.
