Description: The beautiful vaulted sunporch of Zonnekus. / Zonnekus, the magnificent beach home at Milnerton, built in 1929 for the late Sir David Graaff, stands today as an opulent, rambling monument to a past era of luxury living. It is the only house on the island that was recently sold for R3-million to the Harry Fuchs Investment Company, which plans to turn into a luxury Mediterranean-style village of 350 houses that will sell for a total of about R70-million. The company plans to install all services, build a new bridge, town houses, condominiums and a convenience shopping centre.
