Description
Dr Albert Hertzog, former Cabinet Minister and rejected right-winger. In September 1969 his membership of the National Party was cancelled after the statements by him and some of his followers that only Calvinist Afrikaners could be trusted to rule South Africa. Soon after, he announced the formation of the Herstigte Nasionale Party.
