Creator
McNally, T.J.
Subject
Western Cape (South Africa), Cape Town (South Africa), Urban areas, Development, Transport, Table Mountain (Western Cape, South Africa)
Description
New national road into Cape Town begins to take shape: This aerial view from above the contour plough-lines on the Bellville hills shows the wide, white ribbon which is the path of the new national-road approach to Cape Town. The road, now being made, will have double-width traffic lanes and the route will by-pass the populous areas of Parow and Goodwood, seen on the left, as well as Wingfield airport. The new highway will open up a vast area of as yet undeveloped country.
