Title
Pollution over Cape Town from De Waal Drive
Creator
McLagan, Jim
Subject
Cape Town (South Africa), Western Cape (South Africa), Environment, Pollution
Description
While people in the Western Cape are delighted by the beautiful calm days that arrive between blasting north-westers, there is a disadvantage - smog lies heavily over the city and surroundings. This picture taken from De Waal Drive shows buildings looming through the smog, which was caused by a temperature inversion. The tall buildings in the middle of the picture are at Goodwood, with the Tygerberg and Boland mountains beyond.
