Although the Scots may deny it fiercely , bagpipes come from the East and in Cape Town the Habibia Sidique Muslim Pipe Band Brigade has not forgotten its ancient tradition of pipe music. The band will be heard on Saturday morning when it takes part in the procession along Adderley Street to mark the opening of the 1981 Cape Arts Festival.
