Welgelegen, Rosebank, a house in the Cape Dutch style, was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and built on the site of the old Mostert homestead. It was given by Mr J. C. Rhodes to Mr and Mrs John Blades Currey, who befriended him when he was a sickly youth at Kimberley, and it has been the Currey home since 1900.
