The map shows political boundaries, villages and towns, mountains, rivers, lakes and the islands in the Atlantic and Indian oceans from the Azores to Seychelles (in the north-west and north-east respectively) and Tristan da Cunha to Mauritius (in the south-west and south-east respectively)., Relief shown by hachures and some spot heights., Scales in English miles, geographical miles, French kilometres and German geographical miles., Below the map is a vertical section plan showing "Commander Cameron's section of his route accross [sic] Africa.", Map folds into an outer cover., W. & A.K.
