Description: Laterite Road and Path, Low retaining wall and steps: this hand-drawn, technical working drawing, using pen and ink on tracing paper, shows the hard-landscape construction detail of the historic avenue leading up to the manor house, with gravel surface and stone pitched side channels, smaller pedestrian pathways with cobble edging, stone retaining walls; and masonry steps with plastered and painted edge walls within the historic farm werf of the Groot Constantia Wine Estate, Groot Constantia Road, Cape Town, South Africa.
