Botanical illustration - coloured - Lampranthus explanatus (L.Bolus ) N.E.Br. Dissected drawing of flower included plus attached capsule. Drawn from a collection which flowered at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, 1917. Comment made by M.M. Page that it was plentiful on sand dunes at Somerset Strand (1912-1922). Capsule scanned B.H. 15946 was from N.S. Pillans' garden, June 1919. Lampranthus bicolor (L.) H.Jacobsen.
