John Kruiper used to work with his father and has a vast knowledge of the traditional plants growing wild in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. He is a skilled healer. Corne Witbooi was a tracker and successfully completed his tour guide training to work in the park. Images from this trip document the first excursions into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and were a central part of the work on oral history and mapping in the first years of research.
