Two aspects, however, combining ancient and modern features, are depicted here. In the foreground is the old and famous Round House tearoom, built originally as a shooting box for Lord Charles Somerset. On the left is the ancient Round House Annexe - the feature of which as a Youth Hostel has been the subject of recent municipal discussion. The modern aspect lies in the middle distance where part of the amazing development of Camps Bay can be seen.
