Description

Cape Town's newspaper sellers are known for their ingenuity. And Argie seller Gavin Simons is no exception. He has found the answer to beat the cold of winter winds at his beat on the corner of St George's and Church streets by utilising a discarded cardboard box. With his copies of The Argus hot from the press, he is quite comfortable, thank you.

Argus newspaper vendor Donovan October, 13, and his dogs Cha-Cha Boy and Sheba are inseparable companions. The dogs take the job seriously and they growled fiercely when an Argus photographer came too near their master to take this picture.
