Shoppers stopped and stared in disbelief yesterday when these two "punk-rock" performers popped into an Adderley Street button shop to stock up on safety pins. The one on the left is male and called Guillaume, while the other is Andrea Fine. Both are appearing in the "cartoon rock opera", Zombie, now playing at a Cape Town theatre.

It is never too late to marry and this is exactly what Mr Peter Samuel, 62, and Miss Anna Pieterson, 64, have decided to do after a friendship which began "long ago". Yesterday they were at a jewellers choosing the ring which Mr Samual will present to the love of his life when they wed at their old age home in Woodstock today. And what were their feelings before the great event? "It's love, it's love," beamed Miss Pieterson. "It's nerves, nerves," said her husband-to-be.
