Site report on the archaeological content from a midden and semi vegetated dune site, Millerton Beach, Western Cape, South Africa. The following archaeological material was found: animal remains, hearths, ostrich egg shells beads and pieces and pottery. Flakes, pebbles and hammer stones were examples of the types of stone tools found. European artefacts such as clay pipes were found.

Attached is a newspaper article from the Argus 1982 containing a historical map of central Cape Town. Archaeological material found are, human remains, remains of domestic animals, china, clay pipes and a possible Later Stone Age midden beneath the historical level.
