Eugene Terre'Blanche, Mafikeng, 1998. Terre'Blanche, the leader of the Afrikaner-Weerstandsbeweging (AWB), attended the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) hearings in order to oppose the amnesty application of a South African Police (SAP) officer, Ontlametse Bernstein Menyatswe, who had killed three members of the AWB in 1994. Menyatswe argued that the killing had been politically motivated and he was acting in defense of his people and their right to vote in a national democratic election.

Chief Rabbi I. Abrahams (centre) handed an illuminated "Prayer for the Republic of South Africa" , in Afrikaans , Hebrew and English, to the Speaker, Mr. H.J. Klopper, at the Houses of Parliament yesterday. With them is Mr. Eli Shannon, a leading member of the Cape Town congregation. The prayer, composed by Professor Abrahams, was presented at the Speaker's request and will hang in his room at Parliament.

Pumla Ndulula had worked for three years as a comfortor. When asked what her 'big cases' had been, she said that she had 'looked after' Colonel Eugene de Kock, the security commander at Vlakplaas who became known as 'Prime Evil'.
