- Facing North East of Gemsbokplein (towards Botswana), a large grey Camel Thorn tree (Acacia Erioloba) marks the area where ǂKhomani San women used to come to gather berries. These berries start appearing between October and November and are picked towards the end of December, around Christmas. The tree was occasionally also used as a resting and meeting place. This image was taken during one of the first data collection excursions into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
